Philadelphia is where our industrial work lives. Our shop is in Newtown Square, twenty-five minutes from Center City and closer than that to the Southwest Philly and Northeast Philly industrial corridors, and the jobs we take in the city are almost never garages. They are warehouse slabs, food and beverage production floors, hospital and lab corridors, brewery and commissary kitchens, parking structures, and tenant fit-outs where the concrete has to perform under load, chemicals, and inspection.

We shot-blast, repair joints with semi-rigid filler so the edges stop spalling, and install high-build systems or polished concrete depending on whether you need chemical resistance or abrasion resistance. Hospitals and research space around University City and Temple need floors that are seamless, chemically resistant, and static-controlled where the equipment demands it. Old Philadelphia concrete is its own problem
Most of the industrial building stock in this city was poured decades ago, often with no vapor barrier and frequently with a history of two or three previous coatings on top. Before we quote a system we moisture-test the slab, core or scan where the drawings are missing, and identify what is already down. Coating over an unknown existing membrane is the single most common cause of the catastrophic delamination we get called in to fix.
Where the slab is out of tolerance — and in a hundred-year-old mill building it usually is — we install cementitious self-leveling underlayments to bring the floor back to a flatness spec before the finish system goes down. That is often the difference between a fit-out that passes and one that gets rejected at handover.
Working around an operating facility? Most of our Philadelphia work happens at night, on weekends, or in phased sections so production never stops. Do you handle prevailing-wage or union projects?
Talk to us about the specific job. We are licensed and insured, carry full COIs, and are used to working inside GC schedules and safety programs. Tell us the labor and compliance requirements at the bid walk and we will be straight with you about whether we are the right fit rather than finding out mid-project.
Our old epoxy floor is peeling in sheets. Can you go over it?
Not over it — through it. Anything delaminating has to come off mechanically, because a new system bonds only as well as what is underneath. We shot-blast or grind back to sound concrete, diagnose why the original failed (usually moisture or missed prep), and specify to correct the actual cause.
How much floor can you do in one shutdown?
It depends on the system and the crew size we mobilize, but a well-planned weekend can cover several thousand square feet with fast-cure materials. For large facilities we phase by bay or aisle so you never lose the whole floor at once. We give you the sequence in writing before we start.
Can you meet a USDA or health-department spec?
Yes. Urethane cement with integral cove base and proper drainage detailing is the standard answer for food-contact areas, and we install it to manufacturer spec with documentation you can hand to an inspector. Tell us what you are being held to and we will spec backward from it.
